Central School will be participating in the 2023-2024 Math Challenge! All students in grades 3-5 are able to participate. The next challenge is released on November 3, 2023.
Math Challenge is an engaging math enrichment activity for Central Elementary School students. Math in Action challenges our students beyond their daily math work by pushing them to their maximum potential as well as encouraging them to develop out of box thinking, strategy and problem-solving skills. These math challenges allow students to utilize problem solving strategies such as draw a picture or model, make an organized list, look for a pattern, and guess and check.
Please encourage your students to participate! Students can work on the challenge problems during WIN, in class, or at home! Each grade level has a certain amount of number to complete. Every two weeks a new challenge is released! Students who are interested can visit the Math Challenge website and click on the blue button to see the current challenge questions. Once students are ready to submit their responses, they will fill out the form located on the website. Answers will be released and posted on the website a few days after the submission due date.
Students will receive recognition for participation as well as be entered into a raffle each challenge they submit answers for!
