Students Participate in the "Hour of Code"

December 9-16 was Computer Science Education Week and students in Ms. Dennis’ Computer Classes at Frank J. Smith and Central Elementary School joined over 14 million students around the world in an international "Hour of Code" initiative to expose students to computer programming.

The Kindergarten and 1st grade students are using a free app called Kodable on iPads to learn basic commands.  2nd and 3rd grade students are completing activities on the BotLogic.us website. The 4th and 5th grade students are using a visual programming language called Blockly to move an Angry Bird through a maze!
