Mrs. Kupperman will be out
on maternity leave until September.
During that time, please feel free to
contact Ms. Teresa Folino, who will be her
replacement during that time.
As a
guidance counselor of East Hanover Middle
School, my role is to help students, parents,
and teachers develop positive learning
experiences. It is my goal to assist in making
this a productive year academically for our
students. However, social and emotional
problems can often interfere with a student’s
progress in his/her classes. The counseling
program consists of a variety of services and
activities to help students deal with personal,
social, and educational concerns.
To assist in meeting the needs of students,
confidential services are provided through:
-
Individual counseling
-
Small
group counseling-all groups meet once a
week during IS or Lunch
-Friendship group
focuses on helping children increase
self-esteem and self-concept.
-Changing Families
group is open to
students who have experienced parental
separation or divorce. This group offers
students the opportunity to meet with others
who share similar experiences and realize
they are not alone.
-Anger Management
group is a short
term group designed to help students deal
with their anger in more appropriate ways.
-
Parent
and teacher consultation
-
Informational
meetings
-
